Turn your tri bike into a super bike!

Did you know that you can dramatically drop the drag of virtually any “average” Triathlon bike by adding one simple water bottle? It’s absolutely true, and it’s one of the best values in Triathlon. Value? In Triathlon? Yes, it’s possible.

A few years back, Profile Design began making the Aeria Hydration, a water bottle that fits nicely on the front of your bike covering the head tube by attaching to the bottom of the bike’s stem. Aero test after aero test, the Aeria has proven to significantly lower the drag of every bike we’ve tied it on. What does significantly mean? Well, aero wheels can drop the overall drag of a bike and rider by 3%-5%. If you’re racing at 250 watts, that about 7-12.5 watts of drag savings. The Aeria, on average, drops drag 5-9 watts at 250 watts. Yeah, equal to, or perhaps slightly less than, a full set of aero wheels! Crazy, right? Let’s add this up for a moment. Aero wheels range anywhere between $1800-$3500. The Aeria cost a whopping $136. Now, I don’t know about you, but when it comes to cost effective upgrades, this is a pretty easy choice.
